Friend Tea Bag Holder

I made this super cute Tea Bag Holder as a hostess gift for Stamp Club Friday night. It is really simple.
Recipe: One 3 1/2 x 7 3/4 piece of Dusty Durango cardstock, One 2 5/8 x 3 3/8 piece of Kaleidescope Designer Series Paper, Modern Label Punch and matching Big Shot magnetic die, For a Friend Stamp, 1/2 inch polka dot grosgrain ribbon in Dusty Durango Directions: Score Dusty Durango cardstock at 3 1/2" and 4 1/4"
Fold and punch the top with modern label punch, Adhere Designer Series Paper to the front of the card, Embelish with Friend Stamp or other sentiment, Tape tea bags inside, Tie with grosgrain ribbon
These make great teacher's gifts!

1st Day of School Survival Kit

I made this Survival Kit for my son's teachers using the Bigz XL Fancy Favor Die and DSP Razzleberry Lemonade. Included in the medium cellophane bag was: a small shot of Red Bull (for the morning), some Yogi calming peach tea (for this evening), a chocolate Power Bar, some Burt's Bees lip balm, calming Jergin's hand lotion and Burt's Bees fancy hand sanitizer.

Play with Huge Punctuation

I like to try new techniques on my scrapbook pages. I've been trying to use colors and papers that I don't normally use to challenge my brain. These 12 by 12 pages incorporated an idea that I read in Creating Keepsakes Magazine to play with huge punctuation on your pages. I used Kraft CS and the retired SU DSP Washington Apple on the Happy Fall page. I created the flower on the CUTE page using the scallop circle punch.

Next Stamp Club Technique Faux Metal

Interested in learning new techniques? Here's a preview of what we'll create at Stamp Club on Friday, August 28th. We'll create a 12 by 12 scrapbook page, using the SU Designer Series Paper called Nouveau Chic with coordinating Sage Shadow, Apricot Appeal and Basic Gray. Convention 2009

Just returned from the Stampin' Up! Convention 2009 and my head is buzzing with ideas. I hope to post some stamping and crafting ideas to inspire you. I need a stamping schedule, so my goal for the week is to make at least one card. There are several challenges out there for inspiration. I would like to encourage you to try a few of them.
