A Valentine Easel Card for my Gnomie

This is the easel card I created after being inspired by the video below. It's a Valentine for my sweetie that says, "to gnome you is to love you." I stamped the gnomes on watercolor paper and used Stampin' Write Markers and a blender pen to color them in. My feature colors are So Saffron, Real Red and Pacific Point. Happy Valentine's Day to all of my stampin' Gnomies!

Here's another take on the butterfly card I previously made using torn scraps and a negative die image as the focal point. This time I used Fun Flowers Bigz L Die (121812) and scraps of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. The flower die frame is made with Pool Party Card Stock stamped with the SAB Fresh Vintage Stamp Set in Versamark. The edges are inked with a sponge dauber and Pool Party Classic Ink. The Happy Birthday Dear You sentiment is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes Hostess set and the Hand Crafted sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set. The card base is Soft Suede Card Stock. If you look at the listing of your designer series paper in one of the Stampin' Up! catalogs you will see a color key below the description. These are the colors of the paper pack which helps you choose coordinating card stock and accessories, like brads.

Bigz Butterfly and Scraps of Spice Cake

The inspiration for this card came from the December 2011 issue of Stampin' Success magazine which is only available to demonstrators. For more information on becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator click HERE. To make this card I used Soft Suede and Pool Party as my main colors. Then, I used scraps of retired Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and First Edition DSP. I layered these behind the negative image from the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die. The little Thinking of You sentiment is from the set, Teeny Tiny Wishes. I added an Antique Brad to the center. For the inside of the card I just cut out a rectangle of Soft Suede Card Stock and cut out a half circle using the circle punch. Then I punched out a Large Tag and added a ribbon. The sentiment and card can be reused and forwarded to the next person. I have my scraps in a bin, organized by color or DSP pack. How do you organize your scraps?

Everyday Enchantment Ghirardelli Chocolate Purses

Aren't these just the cutest! It's a little Ghirardelli chocolate holder that looks like a little purse. It holds two chocolates and it stands up on it's own. I got this idea last April from Brenda Quintana at Qbee's Quest. If you haven't checked out her blog you are in for a treat! She has a full color free tutorial on her blog. These are so easy to make and with our new Simply Scored it's a breeze. I used the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper available free on January 24th with a $50 purchase as a Sale-A-Bration incentive. The enclosure is a Designer Printed brad in Pool Party (page 199 IB&C). The sentiments are from the Perfect Words Hostess stamp set.

Take It to Heart this Valentine's Day

Here are a couple of cute 3" x 3" Valentine cards that we are making at Stamp Club. My inspiration for the card on the left came from the featured project on my Stampin' Up! online store. I just changed the color scheme from Calypso Coral to Poppy Parade. It's coordinated with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper available January 24th as a free Sale-A-Bration gift with a $50 purchase. I stamped the heart on the Very Vanilla tag in Versamark, using the new Take It to Heart stamp set featured in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I did the emboss resist technique by rubbing a sponge dauber with Poppy Parade Classic Ink over the image and sponging around the edge of the heart. The little "love" sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set. The background hearts are stamped with Versamark which makes a nice watermark image on any color of card stock. The card on the right is made with Pool Party card stock and another piece of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.

Happy New Year! Let's start 2012 with a sketch challenge. I'm a guest designer for Craft Project Central this month and I created this sketch challenge and card with a free mini tutorial. I'd love for you to play along. You could win a free month's subscription to Craft Project Central.

Layer your Crumb Cake card base with pieces of the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper according to the dimensions on the challenge sketch. Three 1-3/4” circles make this cute border. On the last layer of DSP, stamp the flourish and BFF from the Best Friends Forever Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Classic Ink. After stamping the BFF sentiment, trace over the letters with a VersaMarker and heat emboss with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Ink the edges using a Sponge Dauber and a Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad. Punch a ½” Circle from the Beau Chateau DSP. Center and attach this above the BFF sentiment. Add three Basic Pearl Embellishments. Tie a piece of Victoria Crochet Trim around the card and pin a Simply Adorned Trinket Crown to the bow with a Vintage Trinket Safety Pin.

Dasher Money Holder Card Using Reflection Technique

The inspiration for this card came from Ann Wills who is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from New Zealand. I had some unusual sized policy envelopes which I wanted to use up, so I measured them, then created this card to fit which is 7-1/2" x 8 1/2" folded. This inside pocket is a Stampin' Up! Mini Square Envelope. The inside sentiment is from the set Easy Events and the front of the card features Dasher.

I stamped Dasher on Whisper White Card Stock using Black Stazon. To make his reflection, just ink and stamp again on to a Window Sheet and turn that over and rub the image on to your card stock. I wanted to leave some white showing around the reindeer to represent the light shining down from the star, so I cut out an L shape from a scrap piece of paper and covered the reindeer and part of his reflection. Using the L as a mask, I lightly sponged Bashful Blue around the reindeer and the reflection. I removed the mask and softened the edges with Bashful Blue. Then I filled in the rest of the outside area by sponging Night of Navy in a circular rubbing motion, then dotting over that with the sponge. I used a white gel pen to draw the horizon and make horizontal marks on the water. Then I accented the horizon with Dazzling Details and accented the water with Smooch Moonlight Accent Ink (page 203 IBC). When I liked the effect, I sprayed just the water with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz to make it look icy. Happy Holidays!

Don't Make Me Text Santa Holiday Planners

These holiday planners are so easy to make and useful. You can re-use them each year. I got this idea from Melissa Stout. She has a wonderful video tutorial on her blog. All you need is a school or office folder with pockets - without the brads in the center. Fold the center in the opposite direction, then fold the front flap over and the back flap in, like an accordian.

I cut a quarter of an inch off of the top of my folder since I was using a mat on the front out of an 8 1/2 x 11" piece of cardstock. I used pieces of Letters to Santa designer series paper to decorate the inside. Inside the third pocket I placed envelopes to hold receipts. I just embellished them with a strip of leftover DSP. The calander, greeting card list and gift list were printed from Organized Christmas. I secured them to cardstock with a glimmer brad.

The front of the planner is embellished with a Santa which I stamped from a retired stamp set called, Jolly Old Saint Nick set. I used a Blush Blossom marker to color his face and accented his cheeks with a Blushing Bride marker. I added shimmer to his hat with a 2-Way Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I used Microsoft Word for the sentiment, "Don't make me text Santa" and printed it out on Whisper White cardstock and punched it out with the oval punch. Happy Stamping!

This month I designed the Creating Pretty Cards Sketch for Craft Project Central's Card Challenge #5 using My Digital Studio. There is also a tutorial for the sample card pictured above at Craft Project Central. I've had so many compliments on this card, that I used this idea to create a tag for my friend Jamie's Christmas Tag swap.

Then, I decided to modify this design for Stamp Club, where we will make a matching card and tag. I filled these globes with Stampin' Up's new Mica Flakes.

Thanksgiving Paper Rosette Wreath Tutorial

I've had so many requests for a class on how to make a paper rosette wreath like the one featured in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The day has finally arrived! Join me on Saturday, November 12 at noon. Details HERE. Instead of using the Gently Falling stamp set, I used French Foliage for the leaves. Instead of Hand Penned for the sentiment, I used Day of Gratitude. If you haven't ever made a paper rosette before I would suggest watching this video by Dawn Olchefske, or checking out Aly Schilling's tutorial.

I've included a list of materials that I used to make the wreath pictured above. Feel free to use it for a class or you can order any of the Stampin' Up! supplies from my website at http://www.krisk.stampinup.net. The larger rosettes are made using Stampin' Up's Simply Scored tool and the smaller rosettes are made using the Big Shot and a non-SU Sizzix die.

To make the large rosettes, I used a piece of 2" x 11" and a matching piece of 2" x 5" card stock. Using the Simply Scored, score the strips every ¼”. Fold accordion style. After accordion folding you will need to adhere the end of the 12” strip to the 5” strip to make one long strip measuring 2” x 17” in order to make a large Size 1 Rosette (see photo below). Glue the ends together like a bracelet. Have your matching scallop pieces ready with glue. Push your rosette bracelet down flat and it will pop into place so to speak. Attach the matching scallops to the front and back center with adhesive to hold the rosette together. Then, embellish the rosettes as shown in the photo below.

To make the frame: Wrap a piece of grosgrain ribbon around the wire frame and secure the ends with a hot glue gun. Leave a small opening for hanging and tie a bow through with a separate piece of ribbon. Use a got glue gun to attach your completed rosettes to the frame with the bow at the top.

Stamp leaves from the French Foliage Stamp set in Pear Pizzaz and More Mustard. Cut out the stamped leaves and attach behind the rosettes with Mulitpurpose Adhesive.

To make the sentiment: Stamp sentiment on 3-7/8” x 1-1/2” Naturals White Card Stock and cut the edges to points. Score a line above and below the sentiment. Tear a piece of First Edition DSP and attach behind the sentiment. Embellish with two leaves and a piece of Victoria Crochet Trim. Attach to completed wreath. Happy Stamping!

Spooky Decor with Quick Accents

I just loved these spooky displays from the Stampin' Up! Convention this summer. The bottles are decorated with the Pick Your Poison Quick Accents from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I collected some old bottles and added some waffle paper and linen thread to the top of a couple of them.

I placed an old photo printed on copy paper inside one of the bottles for a spooky effect.

Haunted Forest - Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #4

Here's my creation for the Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #4 on Craft Project Central. I couldn't get my idea to fit on a traditional card, so I did a Z-fold card using Pool Party Card Stock and Spice Cake Designer Series Paper. To make this Z-fold card I cut an 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Pool Party CS. Score vertically at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2" using your Simply Scored. I colored on my Haunted Forest Stamp with Stampin' Write Markers and stamped my image onto Whisper White Card Stock. I cleaned my stamp, then, using the Stamp-A-Majig, I stamped directly over the image with Versamark and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. This creates an emboss resist effect to apply the background colors. I tore two pieces of paper and used a sponge dauber to ink between the tears for the background with Pool Party, Night of Navy and Wisteria Wonder. Then I inked the edges with Night of Navy. I punched out a 1-3/4" circle for the moon and used this as a mask before I applied the background. Let me know if you have any questions.

Simply Adorned Halloween Charm

I love Halloween! Here's a 1" x 1 1/4" charm insert I made for a swap. I used a piece of Spice Cake Designer Series Paper. I used a sponge dauber to make the moon in Pumpkin Pie. Then I stamped the owl from the House of Haunts stamp set in Early Espresso. I colored the eyes and beak yellow, then added some Dazzling Details for glimmer. I went over the owl with a brown watercolor pencil and blender pen. I used the Itty Bitty flower punch and punched out the design from a piece of Spice Cake DSP and added a dot of Dazzling Details in the center. I love how the edges stay curled up a little when inserted into the charm. On the back, I stamped the word Spooky from the Spooky Bingo Bits and embossed. Happy Haunting!

These narrow cellophane bags are the perfect size for M&M's or small treats. Tip: Use a chopstick to push larger candy like candy corn into the narrow bags. The cello bags are available in the Holiday Mini for 50 for $2.50 (Item # 124134).

Hopping Just for the Fun Of It - Halloween Rosette Wreath

Welcome to the second blog hop of a new Stampin' Up group, "Hopping Just For The Fun Of It." I have created something very special to share with you. I'm Stop #9 and there are 16 stops in all. You can begin the hop from my blog, or follow in order if you get lost by starting here. Or, you may have arrived from Robbie's Blog, inkedx2. Our theme is "Halloween/Fall Happenings" This means the projects you see on our hop will feature my favorite time of the year! You can click on the images for a larger look.

The rosettes were made using the Simply Scored tool and different sizes of Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper. I also used a non-SU Sizzix die for the smaller rosettes. The larger rosettes measure 2-1/2" x 18" and 1-1/2" x 18" (I had to attach an 11"piece to 7"piece).

Here is a close up of one the embellishments. I stamped the sentiment from Dark & Dreary on to a piece of First Edition DSP. I stamped it again on to a piece of Peach Parfait card stock and punched out the 31 and attached it with a Stampin' Dimensional. I inked a scallp square piece of chipboard from the On Board Merry Medley chipboard shapes with Soft Suede and attached the stamped image and curled the edges.

I added a trinket crown to the skeleton face (punched out of DSP) and added Dazzling Details to his eye sockets.

I traced and cut out the Poison sentiment from the Pick Your Poison DSP and glued it to a piece of On Board Merry Medley chipboard. I cut out the "P" from the other matching piece of DSP and added some details with Soft Suede, Peach Parfait and Dazzling Details.


I decorated with various brads and rhinestones. and punched out the spider from the Pick Your Poison DSP

To create this wreath I started out with a plain 12" wire wreath frame and wrapped wide black ribbon around it for my base. This way it was easy to adhere the rosettes to it with a hot glue gun. To make the black button embellishments, I used some tweezers and coated the button with black StazOn. Then I heat embossed them with Black Embossing Powder. I hope you enjoyed my creation. I didn't get to keep it though. My mom begged me for it, so I let her have it since I am such a good daughter! Have a very creative World Card Making Day! Iced Crystal Technique and House of Haunts Sketch Challenge - TSSC193

I was trying to create a layout for this card which uses a couple of fun techniques and I got stuck. Then I came across Techno Stamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge and that did the trick. The first technique I used on this card is called, Iced Crystal using Epsom Salt. This is also Technique Challenge 99 on Stampin Addicts. You can click on the photo for a larger view. Mix 1/4 cup of Epsom Salt with 1/4 cup of boiling water and stir until the salt crystals are dissolved. Use a large paint brush to paint the entire surface of the cardstock and cover it well. I found it looks "icy-er" if you press down with the paint brush like you are dotting it on. Then just leave it alone to dry. Do not go back and try to add more after it begins to dry-it will ruin it.

I also used the Stained Glass technique. I stamped the haunted house on to a piece of vellum in Basic Black Craft ink and embossed with black embossing powder. I turned it over and did all of the coloring and sponging on the back. Happy Haunting!

Trick or Treat Letterpress Plates - Two Simple Techniques

This first card is done the traditional way. I inked up the Letterpress Plate with Elegant Eggplant Craft Ink. Next, I used Stampin' Up's watercolor paper, placed it on top of the plate and ran it through the Big Shot. I stamped the spider from Pick Your Poison in Basic Black. I punched the edges with the Ticket Corner punch and glued it to my card base. Next, I embossed the entire card front with the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and punched the holes in the corners with the 1/16" Circle Punch. I added a black glimmer brad to the spider's body. We'll be making this card at October's Stamp Club.

For this card, I placed the watercolor paper on top of the Letterpress Plate without any ink on it and ran it through the Big Shot. Next, I inked up a sponge with Elegant Eggplant Craft Ink and sponged the edges. Then I just lightly dragged the sponge over the image from left to right. I was trying to keep this card simple, but it's screaming for me to add some Shimmer Spray! I used a clear rhinestone brad on this spider. Which one do you like the best? What would you add? I can't decide if I should ink the edges of the first card? I really like how the spider web runs off of the watercolor paper on to the card base.

I purchased an old window from an antique store. My children made up stories about how it came from a haunted house. Suddenly, the dog started barking at it and we all got freaked out. The vinyl is on the front of the glass. I placed some pieces of Spice Cake Designer Series Paper behind the sign and the owl's eyes and beak. You can click on the photo for a larger image. Top Note Frankenstein Treat

Here's a little treat we will be making at Stamp Club next Tuesday. I CAS'd the idea from Diana Soling, but I CAS'd the face from my stamping friend, Jamie T. These were the only candy eyes I could find this early in the season. They aren't my favorite, but they worked well enough to make my prototype.

Piece of Poision Trick or Treat Tag

Here are some vintage tags I made for a swap at my local scrapbook store. I stamped the spider and rat from the Piece of Poison stamp set on to a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper. Then I crinkled a piece of white tissue paper, flattened it back out and glued it over the the DSP with an Anywhere Glue Stick. This is also known as the faux silk technique. I stamped the Trick or Treat onto a piece of Pick Your Poison DSP. I made a rosette and the frame with my Big Shot and a couple of non SU dies. The skeleton is stamped onto a piece of Pick Your Poison DSP and punched out with the 3/4" Circle Punch and matted onto a 1" black circle. I used Stampin' Up's new Dazzling Details around the edge and added a couple of pearl embellishments for the eyes. I also inked all of the edges for a worn vintage look.

Here's a new card that I created for the Creating Pretty Cards Challenge #3 on Craft Project Central. I love Halloween, so I had to try out my brand new stamp called, Piece of Poison from the NEW Holiday Mini Catalog. This card features the coordinating Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents called, Pick Your Poison (also in the new mini). I just couldn't resist adding a diamond ring to the skeleton hands.

Do you see the Faux Silk Technique? First stamp the skeleton using Basic Black Classic Ink onto the graph piece of DSP from Pick Your Poison. Then stamp the brain in Soft Suede. Next, stamp the Poison sentiment onto a piece of white grift wrap tissue paper. Let the stamped image dry. Then, gently crinkle it then flatten it back out. Cover the stamped image on your card stock with a glue stick (make sure the stamped image is completely dry or it will smear.) Adhere the tissue paper to the stamped image and trim the excess. This a 12 x 12 double page layout that we will be making at Stamp Club on Wednesday. The little book with the doily on it opens up and out (last photo) to hold nine photos. We will use the Flirtatious DSP and the Pennant Parade Punch. Here are the measurements to make the photo holder:

If you are using 8 1/2" x 11" card stock, cut two pieces 6" x 5 1/2". On the 5 1/2" side, score at 1 1/2". Cut a base piece 6" x 3 7/8". Cut two pieces 7" x 3 7/8" and score at 1". Assemble.

If you are using12 x 12 card stock, cut one piece in half so it measures 6" x 12". Score at 4" and 8". Cut two pieces 3 7/8" x 12", score at 6".

Our little Morkie (half Maltese half Yorkie), named Sutton recently won a photo contest on a local television show called Dog Talk on KSBI 52. We packaged some dog treats and made this card for Pat Becker, the host of the show, using the D is for Dog stamp. I used Real Red, More Mustard, and Just Add Cake DSP. The paw is stamped in Versamark and embossed in silver. It matches the logo of the show. I used a rhinestone and Dazzling Details on the dog collars. This iridescent glitter glue will be available September 1st in the Holiday Mini for only $2.50 and it's acid free.

Here's another swap I made for Convention. Since I'm a Mom with all boys I was drawn to this cute Dinoroar stamp! I wasn't sure what color to make the dinosaur so I went to the expert, my seven-year-old son. I asked, "What color do you think this dinosaur would be?" and he answered without hesitation, "Bluish-green." So, here you go! Butterfly Punch Pansy & Last Day for Retiring SU Products

I've always wanted to make one of these pansies using the butterfly punch. Just punch out two butterflies in Shimmery White Card Stock. I find the Shimmery White works the best when using an Aqua Painter. Next, color in your pansy using your Aqua Painter and drops of re-inker.

Gerbera Daisy Post it Note Holder

I had a couple of different people inspire me to make this cute Post-it-Note Holder. The first was a project designed by Kim Score for April's Craft Project Central. I just had to make one of these. I was inspired to create the Gerbera Daisy from Debbie Martin. So, I combined the two ideas and put the Gerbera Daisy on the front. The daisy is created using the Bigshot Die, Daisies #2 and the Boho Blossoms Punch. I used the retiring Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper.

Dog Treats and Blog Candy!

Strength & Hope Emboss Resist

Here's a simple card I made using the Strength & Hope set in the Summer Mini Catalog. First, I inked the butterfly with my retired Brilliant Blue Stampin' Write Marker. Next, I went around the edges of the butterfly and the antennas on the stamp with a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker. Then I stamped the butterfly three times onto a piece of Whisper White card stock, without re-inking the stamp. I let this dry and inked a background stamp with Versamark. I stamped over the butterflies with the Versamark and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. Last, I inked a sponge dauber with Brilliant Blue and daubed in the areas that I wanted to highlight with the blue. I added three different sizes of Basic Pearl embellishments to finish it off. It is matted on Brilliant Blue and Crumb Cake.

Playful Polka Dots Scrapbooking Layouts

CAS'd from page 15 of the Summer Mini Catalog. Holds a 4" x 6" or 5" x 7" and wallet size photo. "Bliss" title made with Medium Sizzlits Go Go Boots Alphabet Big Shot die. Used Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die and butterfly punch.

Features the stamp set, Three Little Words (IB&C p. 151). Holds a 5" x 7" photo.

CAS'd from Sara Douglass. Holds a 4" x 6" photo and four 2" x 2" photos or journaling boxes.

Any variation or collage of photos can be placed on the layout.

Here are some fun 12" x 12" layouts we will be making Sunday at the Playful Polka Dots Scrapbooking Class. They use the new Simply Scrappin' Kit in the Summer Mini Catalog (page 15). You can click on each photo for a larger view. The last layout features the new Doily Triple Layer Punch which I cut in half and used as a border. I also used six Scallop Oval Extra Large punches in the border.

Embossed Poppies

I combined two cute cards on Stampin' Addicts using the new Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. One was designed by Mary Brown and the other by Cindy E. I love how this turned out. I used Sahara Sand for the card base and embossed on Naturals White card stock. I colored on the raised stem with Old Olive. The flower centers are Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade. I punched out the corner with the Scallop Trim Corner punch and placed a piece of Poppy Parade card stock behind it which was punched out with the new Postage Stamp Punch featured in the new Summer Mini Catalog.The tag was punched out in Sahara Sand and stamped in Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight using the Pretty Postage set in the Summer Mini Catalog.

Sunny Fun Notecards Hostess Gift

Here's a cute project I learned how to make at the Stampin' Up! Convention last year. These make cute hostess gifts. It's a set of four 3" x 3" note cards with envelopes, packaged into a little holder made out of Stampin' Up's small open-end envelopes on page 171 of the IB&C. Just seal the envelope and cut about a quarter of an inch off of the top. Fold it in half and punch half circles on the inside to reveal the pockets. These are made using the Sunny Fun set on page 16 of the Summer Mini Catalog.

Enjoy this wonderful Mother's Day! I embellished a little card kit using the same theme from the Strength & Hope jars in the previous post. I inked the card edges with Blushing Bride. After stamping the Hope sentiment in Basic Gray I used a sponge dauber to dab some Blushing Bride highlights over the H. The butterflies are made using the baby wipe technique. I placed several drops of Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Baja Breeze reinkers on a baby wipe and stamped the butterfly. The butterfly is accented with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter and a pearl embellishment.

Happy Easter Sunday! I've been working on a Summer Mini Catalog Swap and I chose Sunny Fun (page 16). Our family loves to spend the summer at the lake and this set was perfect. I created this Flip Flop card literally using the flip flops on one side and the ice cream on the other side. You could also recycle this card and turn it into an interactive scrapbook page embellishment or photo mat. The original flip flop card idea has been credited to Jackie Topa, but I got the idea using this shape from a cute Halloween card designed by Marie Shaughnessy on Stampin' Addicts. Eat Chocolate Accordian Fold

This is the cutest stamp set and one that I plan to keep in my collection of favorites! It's called Eat Chocolate and it's only available until the end of April in the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog. When I'm looking for inspiration I love the browse the http://www.stampinaddicts.com/ gallery. You can search by stamp set to see all the different creations. I combined two cards that I loved made by Yapha Mason and Kathleen Hopperstad to create this accordian fold card.

Spring Petal Cone Favor

You can find the new petal cone Bigz L Die on page 15 of the 2011 Occasions Mini. I also used the Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die on page 206 of the IBC, and the Taseteful Trims Bigz Die (on the side with the pearls) which was featured in the Holiday Mini but still available to order: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=120893. The little flower in the center of the butterfly is the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack. I filled it with butterly die cuts and gave it to my friend for a hostess gift, for hostessing March's stamp club.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and good luck all through the year. May you be blessed with an abundance of creativity. I CASE'd this card from a beautiful version I saw on Stampin Addicts by Eileen LeFever. I simplified it a bit and turned it into a St. Patty's Day card. I used the Medallion stamp and the Bliss stamp on the background behind the tear. The edges are inked with Soft Suede and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I sprayed it lightly with gold shimmer spray.

Shimmer Spray and Salt Embossed Blossoms

This technique adds a really cool worn look to your paper. First, you spray whisper white cardstock with shimmer spray. I used Golden Glow and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spray. Sprinkle salt over your paper and emboss it with your heat tool. Remove the salt, then stamp the petals in So Saffron. Punch them out with the Blossom Petals Punch.

Faux Silk Technique

I love how elegant the faux silk technique looks on a card. This was CASE'd from the January 2011 issue of Stampin' Connection available to Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. Here's the recipe:

Stamp Set: Just Believe

Cardstock: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzaz, Peach Parfait & Whisper White

Stampin' Write Markers: Concord Crush & Pear Pizzaz and the Eyelet Punch

Stamp your image onto whisper white cardstock. Gently crinkle a piece of gift wrap tissue paper then flatten it back out. Cover the stamped image with a glue stick (make sure it is completely dry or it will smear.) Adhere the tissue paper to the stamped image and trim the excess. You can also stamp directly onto the tissue paper before crinkling it, flatten it back out and adhere it to the cardstock. Happy Stamping!
